Automated mailings, in addition to quicker delivery, also benefit
from list cleansing and reduced mailing costs.
NOTE: Pieces that do not meet all parameters may be assessed
a surcharge depending on the class of mail:
NonStandard First Class Mail
A single piece of mail weighing 1 ounce or less is Nonstandard if
it exceeds any of the following size limits:
Its length exceeds 11 1/2 inches.
Its height exceeds 6 1/8 inches.
It thickness exceeds 1/4 inches.
Its aspect ratio (length divided by height) does not fall between
1.3 and 2.5

Standard Mail (A)
Residual shape surcharge is applied to a single piece prepared
as a parcel or is not letter-size or flat-size.
